Vietnam 2017

This was probably my favorite trip that we have taken since leaving the US. Which is funny because I wasn't all that interested in going. It was Jay who decided that we should make it a point to see Vietnam before leaving Asia. One thing we did differently this trip was we went to two different spots within Vietnam. First we went to Hanoi which was INSANE. I loved it so much there was a literal pulse to the city. The streets were small and packed with scooters food vendors, shops everything. People were outside eating drinking, bargaining everything. I felt like I was fully immersed in the Vietnamese culture. I was a little worried that all of the stimulation was going to be too much for the kids but they were not phased in the least bit. Which makes me worry that they will be a little bit bored when we move back to suburbia in the US. My favorite part of Hanoi was the traditional water show it was awesome even Selah sat mesmerized for the entire 45 minutes.

Our next location was Danang which is right up on the water. I can not even put into words how much I enjoyed our stay here. Very rarely do I have a lump in my throat when I leave a place and this was one of them. We stayed at the Intercontinental which was so amazing. I first found it on pinterest and knew I had to stay there it just looked so beautiful in the pictures and was even more stunning in person. The staff was so friendly and attentive and the views literally took my breath away. We found ourselves just strolling the property stopping at certain points to marvel at the view and also lots of monkey searching. So below is just a massive photo dump from our trip. We are getting ready to celebrate our Selahs first Birthday tomorrow and my heart could just burst. She is such a easy going sweet girl and deserves a day all about her. I will post pictures from her celebration next week.
