My apologies for being so quiet here on the blog It has been such a busy summer with two of my best friends getting married!! I thought I would pop in and share some exciting news we are picking up our stuff and moving to Fairfax Virginia!! We have known this was coming for quite some time but now with the official announcement being made at my Husbands job it is starting to really sink it. Aside from living in Florida for 5 years Pennsylvania is really all I know and moving will be very very bittersweet. Needless to say I am THRILLED about picking out a new home for my family. I love our home in Philadelphia but it was my first time buying a house and I had no idea what challenges a house with three flights of stairs would bring with a toddler! In the spirit of moving I thought I would share some of my inspirations for our next house with you today I will focus on what I want to do with our living room. I am going for a light airy feel after living in the city for a while I am craving some light so that is going to be the feel throughout the entire home.
We have been browsing for a perfect sectional for a while, though I would LOVE to get a white one my Husband is not going for it and something tells me my 16 months old isnt either I think a beige color like the one above is just as pretty
This Rug from Rugsusa reminds me of a warm comfy sweater
We have a great tufted ottoman from Ethan Allen that just needs a little eye lift with the perfect fabric.I love these two colors in a linen ..hmmm decsions decisions. Have you guys ever been to the fabric website Spoonflower, it is amazing a little overwhelming but still amazing you can find both of these fabrics there.
This Media Stand from Home Decorators has been on my MUST HAVE list for such a long time I am so excited to finally purchase it!! I am going to use our current stand in Kaels Playroom. I am such a sucker for mirrored furniture and I love how bright this one is!! We head off to Virginia tomorrow together to kick off the official house hunt!! Fingers cross this goes smoothly!!
