Wedding Swoon

I found the most beautiful wedding on the website 100layercake { for all of you getting married definitly check it out, it's chock full of ideas} over the weekend that literally took my breathe away. I personally love country weddings there is just something so romantic about them. THIS takes country wedding to a whole new level beautiful mansion and near the water swoon!! Hope you all enjoy the pictures and have a great start to the week. It is supposed to be nice here in Philly so me and Kael have a play date at Smith Park with the Mullen crew!!

Hooray for Fridays!! Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned! Im taking my little boogie boy to the Please Touch Museum today and I am focusing the rest of my energy on

trying to figure out a way to pull off  hiding this dress  on our credit card statement not a easy task with the credit card police constantly beating down my door {side eye Husband J } which leads me to this motivational quote of the week

I have a new girl crush and her name is Beyonce Carter { Mother to Blue Ive ick, yes thats still her name } I watched this video over and over last night... she is just good not to mention I am really feeling her post baby style. She just launched a personal tumblr it is amazing.

Has anyone seen the new show on HBO Girls? It is so funny and very cleverly written. Speaking of funny my nightly tradition before I got to bed is to put on Bridemaids I laugh hysterically every single night sometimes I replay the airplane scene over and over gets me every time {can you imagine the eye rolls I get from Husband J }. Monday, Monday

Its Monday and its rainy again, I shouldn't complain because we have had beautiful weather here in Philadelphia lately but now we've been spoiled and are silently staring out the window begging the sun to appear again, well mostly me because I have realized being stuck in the house with a 1 year old on rainy days is just no fun at all. We are going to venture out today even if it means strolling the mall { Im on a hunt for a outfit to wear for Kaels 1 year old picture we have this week } In other news I made two delicious dishes this weekend which Husband J absolutely loved the first one  a shrimp salsa was for a BBQ over at my girlfriends house and the second a spiced flounder dish both were very tasty. I added shrimp and artichoke hearts to the flounder recipe and a little three cheese pasta sauce it was so good I highly recommend it!

Have I ever told you how much I love Giuliana and Bill Rancic? Their show always lifts me up instead of bringing me down like most reality shows and their dynamic reminds me so much of me and Husband J's he is practical and likes to plan she is more impulsive and free spirited. I also love that through their struggle to conceive a baby and her battle with cancer they have grown stronger and that to me is a true testament to their relationship. Happily I read online today that they are expecting a baby in September which is just a amazing and truly made my day rain or shine.

Its the weekend ...

Here's the thing..

Here's the thing I am OBSESSED with these curtains, I just can't stop starting at them. I would have never ever thought to pick this bright floral fabric for a curtain but it just works and adds so much richness and color I LOVE it! Making mental note to try this in our next house. Here's another thing I am married to a very organized engineer and we are majorly majorly different in the most perfect of ways because I could not be further from organized and I suck at math. The last couple of days I have been working on my..on my...my..budget there I said it. I have never been someone who is good with balancing my money, the mere sight of a bill coming through the mail makes my heart race a little bit and going to the wells fargo website to check our account is enough to push me into a tailspin. This has been pretty much the only battle me and Husband J have had throughout our marriage and you know what we are going to be married for the rest of our lives and I just can't take this argument anymore so I am making a vow on a public space that I am going to be more aware of the BUDGET and stick to it and stop impulse purchasing {magazines in the checkout line at the grocery Im looking at you} So wish me luck!! Below are a couple more things that are on my mind..

Im am more than a little excited about Lionel Richie teaming up with Country stars to create his next album titled Tuskegee. It is no secret that I am a huge country fan, this one with him and Rascal Flatts is my favorite.

Do you guys know about about the amazing website Glitter Guide? It is one of my favorite websites to browse through while Kael is taking his morning nap I am so in love with the home of Tory from Sitting in a Tree events { how clever is that company name } it is so charming.

Weekend Recap

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! The weather here in Philadelphia was spectacular so much so that instead of organizing our basement and putting away all of our winter clothes as we planned we decided to head down to the shore for a little sunshine! We definitely had that " oh man we have a lot to do next weekend " feel when we walked back into the house late last night but it was worth it! Kael got to put his little toes in the sand and had his first taste of ice cream AND the Flyers won so with all that added together it made for two happy boys in my family! Here are some picture from our weekend!

These gems are two are my favorite house in Avalon. One of my favorite things to do while down there is look at all the new houses that went up over the winter. The first home is my all time favorite and in the summer it is overflowing with hydrangeas and has huge American flag waving it is amazing..



This is my sweet boys first taste of ice cream some how we skipped over that on his first Birthday and just stuck with cake. He didn't know quite what to make of the sweet but cold thing we were calling ice cream he took a couple of licks did a quick shudder and then carried on with his day

It's Friday. That is all.

Hooray for Fridays, normally I just get excited for the weekend because it means I will have my Husband home from work and a little extra help around the house. THIS weekend though is different because we are actually going out...to a bar..on a Friday night..past 5. This is huge, besides a few weddings me and my Husband haven't done this since Kael was born and it is time we have officially grown cobwebs. We are going out to celebrate my brother in laws girlfriends { sisters, aunt, cleaning ladies, friend jk } Birthday. Whoop, now if only I can teach myself to walk in heels again by tonight!

Also in exciting news in my household one of my best friends is getting Married in TWO weeks! Can't believe it is here already, me and Husband J will be leaving Kael for the weekend with my in laws and heading to sunny Miami!! I was all excited about this until I realized that probably meant I was going to have to wear a bathing suit IN FRONT of people..I am not at all prepared. I am going to treat myself to a new suit that flatters me and gives me a little confidence. The funny thing about swimsuit is they look amazing online on the size zero models in perfect light, in the dressing rooms under fluorescent lights not so much..I am going to have to be mentally armored for this shopping trip.Below are some of my favorites! Which ones are your favorite? I am having the hardest time deciding!

Id like to hang this over my kitchen sink for the mornings that nothing seems to be going correct, which happens a lot with a determined one year old

How 2007 does Nicole Richie look in this photo? In a good way!! I feel like Nicole just keeps getting better and better! Has anyone else been watching Fashion Star? Her outfits are crazy good and I feel like she has this air of sophistication to her now. She really is someone that constantly shows me that being a Mom does not mean you have to lose touch with your personal self, something I am working hard to get better at!

We are waiting patiently over here for my Husbands company to tell him when we are packing up to move we do know its coming but we don't know which month most likely August. They have reassured us we will have 6-8 weeks notice. ??!!***!!! that is not notice in my book. Though this house above is wayyy im talking wayyyy out of our ballpark I am SO excited to get back to suburb living!! I am green grass, driveway loving girl at heart...

Olivia Palermo, where do I even begin... she doesn't get it wrong...ever.. Her wardrobe is so amazing she is quickly becoming one of my favorite fashion gurus.

Old Head

Today is my 28th Birthday and I am def giving it the stink eye, 28 seems...OLD..that is only two years away from 30!!?? I have never been the type of person to say that I needed to be married by x age and have kids by x age I kind of just figured it would come to me when it was time. Every Birthday I do however like to evaluate where I am and how I have grown as a individual and I can honestly say I am so proud of myself and my little family for how much we have grown this past year. It is not always easy being the first of most of our friends to own a home, be married and now have a kid. We miss out on a lot of things and find ourselves relating at times much more with the 30 something group and feeling sheepish when they ask our age and we tell them only to find out they are a good 5 to 7 years older than us. This is our path and we wouldn't change it for anything and I am so excited to see where my path leads as I go into this new year of my life! As for Birthday celebrations go we are keeping it pretty low key having dinner with Kael at our favorite restaurant in our neighborhood then my brother in law is going to come and watch Kael while me and Husband J go and see The Hunger Games a truly rare treat!! We will continue celebrating next weekend perhaps with a little getaway to the shore.Well I hope everyone had a great Easter/ Passover I will leave you with some of my favorite shots of mine from the weekend

P.S. I don't know about you but the Masters was on our TV all.weekend.long. but it was worth it in the end to be moved to tears while watching Bubba Watson's pure emotion after winning, Im pretty sure he has the best sense of humor of anyone to win the master just watch THIS these are all guys who played in the Master this weekend Bubba is in the overalls
